When completing the game is it essential to tag up turf 100% in order for
you to complete the game.

No. I just did the 35% required and have gotten 100%.

Um, say again? You say you don't need all the tags to get 100% in the game?
Just a certain number of them?

Not by what I've seen. I had 99.something% and saved the 100th tag for last
to be the trigger for getting 100%. That is, I have a save with one tag to
go that will complete my 100% game-ranking. I kept it in case I ever want
to try something without being at 100% (but everything else done). Load
that save, paint the tag, and 100% kicks in. So, as far as I can see, you
have to do ALL tags to get 100% game ranking, not just some percentage of
them.

i think he's on about territories... when you return to los santos, you
have to have at least 35% of the territories for one of the missions to
kick in. it's advisable to have the 35% before "riot" because trying to
get 35% of gang territories whilst the rioting is going on is a bit of a
challenge :-)

Yeah, sorry... I misread the original question and I was referring to
the taking over the gang territories, not the tags. No doubt, you need
100% of the tags.

You're absolutely right Cleve, all 100 tags are required for 100%
completion. What exactly would be the point of only doing a few of them
and getting no reward?

Cheers,
