Check the email setup instructions on the metrocast website. It might require a authentication to their outgoing mail server.

In my case the Windows Live Mail error ID # 0x8CCCd03f I would get when attaching a photo to an email was due to the fact that my Skydrive account had been shut down. Once I replied to Skydrive the account was reestablished and everything works great!

Too bad the error code wasn't defined somewhere instead of repeatedly being told to "delete the email and try again"
