Scenario:

Geforce 5700 connected via DVI to a 23" Widescreen display can only
display up to 1600x1200?

If so then please explain why there would then be support via
analog up to 1900x1200 on the same video card?

Thanks

For nvidia:
Analog should be upto 2048x1536
DVI should be upto 1600x1200

When using a PC monitor attach to a DVI but using a VGA / DVI adaptor, it
getting analog signal.
When direct DVI port with your PC monitor and using it DVI, it should be
getting digital signal and should be at 1600x1200.
