What PDA do you use?
The best software to rotate screen is Nyditot Virtual Display
www.nyditot.com

Hi,

If you want to view the Pocket excel spreadsheet in Landscape mode, then try
using DotPocket ---

http://www.dotpocket.com/pocket-pc-software.html

If your mobile device is running Pocket PC 2000, then there is a round about
way to change the mode without the need to install an additional
software... You will need to initiate the Run prompt and then enter "Rotate
R".. if you are using Pocket PC 2000, reply to this post and I will provide
you the exact steps you need to perform to change the screen orientation.

The Windows Mobile 2003 SE is supposed to have this feature on it... users
will be able to change the screen orientation instantly without having to
perform a soft reset. So if you are having WM 2003, then look fwd to the
update from the OEM.

I tried it with my Ipaq h5550 and I was disappointed. Many dialogs and
windows didn't show properly, starting from the PIN code prompt when
starting Ipaq.

I sure hope that WM 2003 SE will bring this feature to my device and that HP
will offer it (for free, I hope).

Well I also do not like the way this software handles screen rotation. But
there is no better app.

Although I just noticed that combining Nyditot Virtual Display + Multi IE,
you could rotate the screen from portrait to landscape without having to
reboot your device. This could work.

It's starting to get a bit expensive to fix limitations of PPC with 3rd
party applications. :o

Well I tried that... but did not succeed. I have no idea how to do that
without rebooting :(

So the Nyditot setting in Multi IE didn't work?

Nope... It did change the screen orientation but did not resize the screen
so it fits to the turned screen layout.
