Uninstall your current drivers with the 4200 still in the case, reboot
and allow the system to come up as a Standard VGA (cancel out when
system tries to find new drivers). Then power down, install new card,
if the system recognizes the new card and looks for drivers, cancel
out again. Now install your drivers.

maybe not, but you do need to mention what driver version you are using
now...

Its always best to re-install drivers after a video card change...

Will do. Someone mentioned in a thread last week that it wasn't necessary
if upgrading from nvidia to nvidia since they would use the same drivers.
I have never used the same brand twice in a row, so I wasn't sure.

Uninstall the old driver, since you will be using a newer driver with the
5900XT.
