The 2Wire HomePortal 100W looks like an interesting concept. I am looking at networking 4 PCs in 3 different rooms, all with RoadRunner (cable) Internet access. The HomePortal mixes Wireless, Ethernet, and HomePNA connections, so it gives a lot of options (which is a good thing). But I can't find much in the way of reviews (only 2 through this site, 1 for & 1 against) or information on this product, other than the 2Wire site itself. Can anyone tell me about it's quality & reliability? Is it something new (hence the lack of info) or is it something that has come and went??? Any info or other ideas would be appreciated. thanx

it looks pretty good, it's basically a router/AP combo with HomePNA (phone line networking). THere are other boxes out there that do the router/AP combo. I'd give it my stamp of approval, FWIW.

It's always the one thing you never suspected.
