gta_sa.set gets corrupted way to much

Archived from groups: alt.games.grand-theft-auto (More info?)

Have to delete gta_sa.set nearly every session because it gets
corrupted then crashes SA.(on a subnote, minor corruption, like video
mode suddenly changing can happen also, but that doesnt crash the
game).

Anyone have ideas at what may be causing this?
