I'm looking to buy a KDS 19" monitor for CAD work.
Model AV-195TF. At $300 at Best Buy it appears to be the best deal going. I would appreciate all comments, good and bad. I have an ELSA Gladiac Ultra modified to be a Quadro 2. Thanks
One of my friends purchased a 17" KDS Trinitron monitor about 9 months ago. He is now in the process of sending back his FOURTH dead KDS monitor. They have all either been defective or have died in extraordinarily short periods of time, but at least they were covered by warranty, heh. Still, 19" Trinitrons are expensive and that sounds like a pretty sweet price. If you're feelin' lucky, I'd say go for it. Just make sure you keep the receipt

I have that exact monitor. 1920x1440 max resolution, 1280x1024 at 100 Hz, .24ag. It's a great monitor, I have absolutely no complaints about it at all. I've had it for about a year now too.
I just got this monitor today at Best Buy for 350 with a 50 dollar rebate. The monitor looks great, images are bright and vibrant, and text is extremely sharp. My only complaint is in the corners the focus is softer than the rest of the monitor. I really like this monitor and would recommend it.
