ERROR: The following file(s) could not be installed to
the SecureDigital (SD) Card because there is no
application on your handheld to open these files.
If you have recently installed such an application,
please run that application and then perform a HotSync
operation.
Marin County.mps
Install To Card synchronization failed
Conduit Error: Unknown error. (1000)

??How do I install the program to my PDA when I get the
above error message while doing a hotsync??

Sounds like you do not have the appropriate pocket streets app installed
on your ppc... if not, a pocket streets installer can be found on your
MS Streets CD... note... generated maps are version specific... i.e.
can't run 2003 maps with pocket streets 2000

Note also that map files are large and may exceed the ppc's storage
memory or activesync's ability to transfer them... normally it's better
to generate them on the PC and copy them manually to a storage card
using a card reader.

Not sure how you are trying to do this. The Marin County.mps is just a file
that can be copied to the PPC SD card by opening that card in the ActiveSync
Explorer and dragging the file over there. It does not need to be
'installed'. Pocket Streets needs to be installed on the PPC, and it needs
to be the right version, to open the .mps file. Having Pocket Streets on the
PPC is not, however a prerequisite for copying the file to the SD card. Heck
I copy Visio files to my SD card to bring them home now and again, and I
darn sure don't have Visio, or even a viewer for .vsd, on my PPC. (Darn it)
