City Slicking records?

What's everyone's record time (and route) for the "City Slicking"
driving school test?

I've managed 89.10 s with no damage, taking a shortcut through the
factory to the east of where you start out. Basically I just go
directly east from the start, then jump the car to the right of the
tree and aim between the fence and the factory. Then I go along the
perimeter road and to the checkpoint. After the top of the windy hill
that the checkpoint is at the base of, I cut through the park and go
back down the main straightaway.

Less than about 85 s using that route seems unlikely (although, it's
always dangerous saying that online since *somebody* always seems to
have taken it to the next level) since it takes about half of that just
to get to the first checkpoint and that's without turning around. It's
possible there are better routes though.

Anyone have any other good routes?

Cheers,

Mark

Can't remember off-hand, although I spent an absurd amount of time
trying different routes.

My route is thus:

Cut across the road carefully avoiding the pedestrians and the cars
that ineveitably get in your way, follow the tram tracks North past
Wang Cars, cut across the road where the tunnel entrance is and then
across the grass between the two white buildings are.

After that, it's a nice long straight with a couple of gentle hills
(Although at the speed I was going it was like something out of
Bullitt - the hills do help you, as you can jump any cars at the top of
them without sustaining damage), turn right before you get to the road
with the corona, down hill then left, through the marker and *up* the
hill (The low speed makes it a lot easier to avoid oncoming traffic),
and then it's a case of following the same route back.

Most of the time I can get a half decent run first time, but the thing
that really gets me is forgetting there's a little curb in front of the
driving school which I *always* hit cutting the last corner. I really
hate losing that 0.25 of a second )

Cheers,
Rob

Interesting route, tried it a bunch of times, managed 92.14 s, and I'm
sure there's room for improvement there. There are a few blind spots
over the hills when you are going north after turning past the tunnel
entrance that have caused me a few crashes, and there are a couple of
tight turns near the corona, but it seems to be a pretty good route.

Down to 88.42 s on my original route.
