Hi Heath,

Make sure you have the driver you need. You can do this through Windows Updates or by visiting your web cam's manufacturer website to find the most current version.

Is your computer behind a firewall? If your computer is behind a firewall and you’re having trouble initiating a video chat in Messenger, the firewall is the likely culprit.
