Knock off some for formatting, and some for marketing speak
(using 1,000 instead of 1,024) and you get your 243. There's nothing amiss.

Storage card makers show megabytes as 1000Kb when it's
actually 1024Kb(hard disk makers do this too. So the OS reads every megbtye
as 1024Kb which is why you only see 243 megs of it. The higher you go in
size the more you loose. I have a 512 MB sd card that shows I have only
483.21 MB of space on it.
