Great game but...

a few very frustating missions, I was stuck on 'wrong side of the
tracks' for quite some time and the the only way I was able to beat it
was to jump on the train and finish the guys off myself.

Final mission was a blast though and worth playing through the game
for, managed to beat it on my second attempt. :p

I've just finished my umpty umpth run through and will be starting
again soon. I have rests from the game for a few days then go back and
blast through a few missions. Damn I am getting out of shape though,
had a lot of trouble on a couple of late levels which are normally a
breeze.

I recently finished EOTL, but want to get 100%, i'm at around 72% at
the moment. SA is my first GTA game, so I might go pick up the other 2
games in the GTA 3D Trilogy (III and VC). When I decide to go back and
try SA again, this time I'll only save between each playing session,
rather than after each mission, to build up a challenge, so hospital
and jailhouse visit will be fair game.

Also in the earlier games you can't look around freely while walking
and driving, but some find that *really* annoying in SA so you might
prefer it! I find it annoying going back to VC or LC and *not* being
able to look around.

I'm not 100% type of player so I just restart after the main missions
but keep at least one file at the end so I can mess around on all
islands etc.

I'll give you a warning, though each game has things to enjoy there
are some pretty big differences. GTA3 you can't fly (properly) and
there are no two wheeled vehicles. Vice City and GTA3 you can't SWIM!
biggest warning if you have played in the direction you are doing.
When you first start you're likely to go diving over walls into the
nearest river :O)

I do find it hard to go back, but a newcomer to the series should
always check out the earlier efforts as they all have their thing
going for them.
