So, I spent the last couple days with the flu, you know the kind that makes you vomit your guts up every 20m on the 20m mark regardless of if you like it or not or if you have anything in your stomache to throw up or not...?

Well, I made the horrible mistake of eating a caesar salad before I got sick. A very very large caesar salad (I've been dieting for a year, 1-2lb salads are a big part of my diet.) Thus when I started throwing up I threw up lettuce. No biggy, it's actually an easy throw up compared to meats and cheese as far as taste and smell go... however lettuce is insidious. It's the dark spawn of evil nastiness... because it easily (its kinda lubricated after it's digested a bit) just shoots right past your mouth opening when it comes back up right into your sinus passages.

So the first 10 or so vomits of the last two days went something like this...

Wake up
Eep
Run for the bathroom
Shove head in toilet
Puke a couple times
Stand up
Wash Face
Brush teeth
Clean sinuses
1- Spit "bonus" lettuce that is sliding down your throat from sinus out if you can
2- Blow lettuce out of nose if possible
a- if not possible block left nasal passage and blow with alot of force to clear blockage in right, then repeat on the other side.
3- If all other procedures fail (ala the lettuce is to large) take a big breathe inward through nose and try to gag up large piece of lettuce to keep from having it end up back in sinuses a second time.

I kid you not when I say I blew a piece of lettuce out of my head that was as big as 3 of my fingers across and a knuckle length long.

I have to say, in the 7-8 times in my life I've gotten sick enough to vomit, this is the utter worst. I don't know that I'll ever be able to eat another piece of lettuce as long as I live for fear of having to blow it out my nose.

I think I'm scar'd for life.

Imagine if he had the runs too. If he squirted from both ends he'd create a vacuum inside himself.

That's good.

One question though, have you eaten any salads since this happened? Or are salads off the list of edibles for awhile?

Well, I didn't think that was gonna happen!!!

The end is nigh.. (For this post at least)

I think i'll be avoiding salads for a couple weeks... just the thought makes me shudder.

Sprouts ain't bad, threw those up with the salad... so small your stomache just kinda disolves them pretty fast... they dont last :)

No prunes thanks, i'm plenty regular ;)
