Possible unique car in 'A Home in the Hills'

There's a point where you chase Big Poppa... you're in a pink E-Type
Jaguar (!!!) - he's in what looks like a Pontiac Firebird like the type
Burt Reynolds drove in 'Smokey'.

I never seen that car before. Unfortuanetly I blew it up.

Is it unique?

I think it is unique but I don't think you can nab it either. I pinned
him into a corner and got out, tried to open his door but no luck. The
car was quite common in Vice City. It's called a Phoenix.

there may be hacks to get the car or it may be available in races, I
don't know. I do know on the ps2 etc you can use one of the cheat
discs to have it parked in your garage :O)

It's based on a 1980ish Firebird with some elements of a Corvette of the
same year (roofline, round taillights). One of my favorite cars in the
game, partially because of its rarity.

Somebody already mentioned it in this thread, it's available in the San
Fierro Hills race behind Wang's Cars. You have to start the race, head for
a garage, get out of the car, and let the timer run out. After you lose the
race and exit out of the screens, it dumps you back outside Wang's, but if
you go to your garage your Phoenix will be there.

I finished the races - 1st overall. I thought the game would give you
the car as a prize.

I also wonder why they made it a race event car only?

It's a Firebird so it's not like it's a uncommon car in real life.
