I got this PC connected to the Netgear router via ethernet, and 2 laptops and ps3 via wireless.

All the other devices remain un-affected, but this PC keeps getting the ""'Local area connection' doesn't have a valid IP configuration" and wont connect to the internet.

The only way i can get the internet back is via system restore, so its not a hardware fault, iv searched net, tried countless methods and cant solve this one.

any help on this matter would be great, its driving me mad!

Is DHCP set to automatic?

haven't a clue, iv reset the router, changed where it was pluged into and so far so good, and yeh DHCP is auto, strange problem, it mite be to do with the router ethernet connection as it didnt affect any wireless connection
