I'm about to install a trial of Pocket Informant, but before I do, I'd like
to know if I'll have any trouble uninstalling it. If I get rid of the app,
will I have trouble going back to the basic PIM functionality??

Also, which is the better app, PI, or Fusion??

Any problem should be expected because they are using the standard
databases for the Pocket Outlook PIM (not for specific items added by them)
so when removed your data will continue there.

I'm not using them so I cannot help you here. Maybe you could have a look on
both or read some great reviews at the Pocket PC sites.

Cheers,

Nope. PI uses the standard PIM databases, it just puts a nice front
end on it. You can use the standard PIM apps concurrently with PI if
you like.

They also put their proprietary data on your PDA. You have to go to their
web site for instructions on how cleanly unininstall the data as well as the
program.I remember it is in one of forums they have.

No, the unininstaller handles the databases. Data is left on the
machine on purpose. All apps do that. Uninstall Excel on your PC and
it doesn't delete your Excel files.

http://www.pocketinformant.com/For [...] php?t=1436 shows you
how to remove that type of data. Pretty clean IMHO.

Thanks for the info, guys. Trying it, some mixed feelings, but I like the
calendar functionality

By way of followup, is the desktop plugin worth it?

Oops, meant "today plugin". It's third party, and available at
http://pocketinformant.com/p_todayplugin.php
