Hello there, can anyone help?
Disclaimer:I am not a computer geek, so please excuse my ignorance.
I bot a fujitsu ESPRIMO P 1500 computer. when i tried to plug my flash drive into the front USB port, nothing is happening. Its working fine with the ports present in the back ( 4 of them). I opened the my computer and nothing is recoginsed there either. What should I do?

Cheers
Andy

I would check the connection to the motherboard to make sure that it is firmly in place before doing anything else.

What Strangest means here is that the ports on the case connect to your motherboard. For the rear ports these are normally hard wired to the motherboard itself and therefore there are no wires to come loose. The ones on the front however are normally connected by wires to pins on the motherboard, it's not uncommon for these to not be connected or to have come loose in transit.

If you open your case and follow any wires back from the port to the motherboard and make sure they are connected. If they are not and you are not technical I suggest bribing the nearest geeky teenager to take a look. It's normally a case of plugging in a couple of connectors to fix. If anybody quotes more that £5 to fix this then live with the problem.
