How about opening a new category.... Troll Dungeon. The admins (Elves) of the various boards get to throw the most annoying troll posts (or the trolls) into the dungeon?

What do u guys say?

I don't mind a little trolling but it is getting hard to see the posts of the people who need computer help because of the people who need psychiatric help.

That's a GREAT idea. I'm sure people will visit the "Troll Dungeon" Forum. I sure as heck would. Troll threads can breath new life into to the forums, and the "Troll Dungeon" is the perfect place for exposing Intelliots, AMDroids, Nvidiots, & FanATics. Let's <b>DO</b> this!

Perhaps they can earn a spell of redemption but I wouldn't make it too easy :wink:

If I were doing the magic (writing the software for the troll dungeon). I'd make it so that the troll thought his posts were in the proper forum but were actually in the dungeon. While a smart troll might check I don't think there are too many of them.

Better yet, let the light shine on them and turn them to stone but that is pretty strong magic (and if the ip addy doesn't remain the same...)?

Noooooo, plzzzz DON'T ban them! It's sooo much fun participating in troll threads. Just send the troll threads to be locked up in the Dungeon, so we can take'em from there. Its fun helping people out to, but participating in the dungeon threads would just round out the experience here. You have to admit, troll thread are occaisionally funny from time to time. But I don't like exessive spamming that much though.

There's gotta be some forum dedicated to the exposition & revelation of brand-loyalists ;-) :wink:

I can't believe the moderators havn't done ANYTHING yet, it's getting to the point that it's hard to find a real post in this section.
personaly icould care less if they get banned or not, but do something.
just create a subcatagory in cpu's for troll posting and limit popegoldx and rramjet so they can only post in there.
but it's pretty pathetic when you have to go to the 3rd page to find a post actually about cpu's

Yeah, it's really annoying. If it wasn't already 3:30 am and I had more blood in my alcohol system I might have actually been angry. As it is I think I'll go to bed and hope that when I wake up in the morning the forum mods will have done something about it.

PS: Does bumping all the posts up make one a troll, or just a cpu gremlin?

Yeah that's the other side to the story (The people who answer). The people talking to the trolls. Do we call them Sprites, Gremlins (as suggested maybe grimlines), Spirits, Elementals, Orcs, Hobbits, Wargs, or some other lovely name?

I definitely agree with the dugeon idea.something has to be done.at this moment in time there are 10 popegoldx threads in the first 2 pages of the cpu forum!it's getting hard to filter through all this fanboy s**t to get to the real topics of interest.is anyone else getting the impression that popegoldx and rramjet are one and the same entity (or at least in cahoots)?

Ahw Eden, I think a subroutine that automatically reroutes PopegoldX and rramjet threads to the "Dungeon Section" will suffice. Besides it would be kind of funny taking a peek into such a novel forum. I don't think any forum has a "Dungeon Section" it would be a fun, entertaining, & interesting experiment to say the least. As annoying as Pope can be at times, I think banning will be too drastic of a measure considering that this new "Dugeon" idea has popped up. Tell Fredi about the Dungeon idea. Will be the only sight on the net to have a Dungeon.

w00t! Do you think Fredi is the type that would fo for the "Dungeon Section"? Or is this just wishful thinking on our parts? What CAN Fredi modify? I'm not sure of how much power he has to write up scrips and that sort of thing. It would be awesome if he does though.
