hi,
I've just acquired a 20" lcd display which can be put into portrait
mode which is connected to an FX 5200 card with 128M. I am running XP
SP2 with the latest WHQL nvidia drivers. To me it seems the overall
performance is much worse in portrait mode (1200x1600) vs normal mode
(1600x1200). The menu drops are slower, text paints are slower etc.
The whole machine feels sluggish. Has anyone seen anything similar ? I
really like the portrait mode as it's much easier to read all those
PDF files I have from IEEE.

Thanks.
