Can I change my mother board without rinstalling window 7s

Solution
Normally yes, especially for some boards which are quite similar. Or else you might have compatibilty problems-
Its advisable to re install win when using a new mobo, some chipset drivers have to be installed freshly on a new windows-

correct.
if the motherboard is the exact same then you do not have to re-install.
they have to be more than quite similar, they have to be the same,
well I think that the integrated video can be different so maybe the term extremely similar can work...

Thanks,

I did the install without reloading everything. Both were AMD MB, one was two years old (HP ET1161-03), and the other a brand new ASUS M4A89GTD. It seems to work great! However, I did need itt o work ASAP. Over the holidays I may do a complete install.

Thanks again,
