It took me a few tries before I was able to finish it.
The only thing I did was squeeze the cops into obstructions. When
approaching a bridge, I'd try to squeeze them to the outside of it
before we got there, so they'd drive right off the edge. Don't hesitate
to shoot them either, I don't think you'll get the 5th star.
Force them to hit oncoming traffic, immoveable signs, highway dividers,
drive off of bridges, etc., and you'll eventually finish it.
And keep them from doing a PIT maneuver on your trailer. That thing is
hell to control when it fish tails. If they get along side the your
back end, hit the brakes and let them get ahead of you.
Good luck.

great strategy for the cop cars.
100% in SA three times now, each final trucking mission,
i noticed something. the destination is different every time.
the closer to the RR tracks, the better.
i always had difficulty on the longer runs due to the choppers.
definitely never gotten a 5th star.
if you fail the mission, the next attempt will be in a different
location. so that may help.
notice where in LV you're going.
i always used the RR tracks, but out there in the desert,
you're air-vulnerable. so this may be a chopper strategy.
the more westernly location, the easier the finish.

I have passed this twice now. The first time was just luck - I got knocked
off the road right outside the start point and landed on the railway tracks
and followed these all the way to the destination. You will come under heavy
fire through east Los Santos, but a lot of the route is in tunnels and
fairly quiet. While in the tunnel, pause and look at the map and decide
where to come off the tracks and get to the destination.
The second time I got the airport destination. Look at the map as soon as
you get in the truck and plan your route. Try and use the highways as much
as possible, and try and nudge police cars into barriers, signs and anything
else convenient. Drive as fast as you can, and know when your turns are
coming up so you can take them wide and not have to slow down too much. I
found it useful to keep switching from one side of the highway to the other
whenever there was a gap in the divider. Be careful not to overshoot your
destination, especially if you have a tight turn into it, as the truck is
extremely difficult to reverse in these conditions.

That's possibly word for word what my advice was going to be..., use the
railroad tracks...., the odd cop car gets up there and harasses you..., but
you essentially keep the truck intact and able to take some damage towards
the end when you need the finally park the bugger....

How the heck do you get on the tracks without turnin the truck over or
something. I can't find a point near the start where the tracks are easily
accesible!

Nice idea, but the truck gets too damaged every time and catches fire!

then you're being too rough :-)
come out of the yard, head straight forward and you'll come to a road
track. turn right, follow the track around to the left and it comes out
above the railway track... it.s much easier to get on to the track from
above.
you'll get a bit of hassle from some police rangers but once you're on the
railway tracks, it gets easier. if you have to turn right, keep to the
right, let the rangers pull up along side you and slowly move to the left
to push them over the hill.
if you have to turn left, the tunnel takes care of the rangers.

Now can you *not* be, driving on the tracks like that. Unless you're meant
to go real slow, but then it'd take bloody ages as you have to go via LS
anyway on the tracks!

I couldn't do this one on the PS2 for some reason..
On the PC, I passed it on the first attempt. The strategy was simple:
Ignore the cops as much as you can. Just trudge along, whenever cops
try to slam into you, slow down such that your vehicle doesn't sway in all
directions.

I don't know! Both times I tried it I caught fire for no apparent reason. I
assumed it was because of the rough ride over the train tracks as it never
happened at any other time.

Well, it's about bloody time! Two days of almost solid trying and he finally
nails it, with some skill and some luck!

I was astonished at how easy the trucking missions, were, I did every
one of them first time. The first one seemed really hard on the PS2 and
I didn't bother with them, so I had had virtually no practice with
artics.

you're going to tell me you're playing the ps2 version, aren't you? coz
i'm on about the pc version.
some of the missions on the pc version have been made easier... i'm sure
this must be one of them because i never had much of a problem with any of
these missions. i never even tried them on the ps2.

The only one I found difficult (at the time I played it, actually
impossible) on the ps2 was the last trucking mission. The ones before
that I found relatively easy. Last mission on the PC was easy. I'll have
a go at the last mission on the PS2 to compare them, and rule out that
it's not just increased skill that made it seem easier on the PC.

It seems much harder on the PS2 indeed. I tried two times. Both times I
got quite far, but lost the trailer. At which point it's nearly
impossible to hook it back on. Actually, the second time, another truck
rammed me and *stole* my trailer! I've never seen *that* happen before.

Nope. Wouldn't have one given. Well, okay, maybe if someone gave me one ;-)
My main problem with consoles is them stupid controllers, but then I suppose
that if I had played using them as long as I have with a PC/keyboard, then
I'd probably be okay.
