nothing was wrong wtih the leadtek but for the same price I could get a bfg
locally so I decided to send it back get my money and went to compu usa and
got the last one they had. Clocks faster alot better performance. Now just
need to find a long cable to hook it to my HD TV lol

Doesn't make sense. The only technical thing different between the Leadtek
and the BFG is that the BFG is overclocked out of the box. There should be
no problem getting identical performance out of the Leadtek.

IMO, BFG dropped the ball here. If they truly wanted to produce faster AGP
6600GTs, the could have equipped their card with 1.6ns RAM and ran it a lot
faster than refernce. (That might also have justified the $50 price
premium the BFG AGP 6600GT cards seem to ask for.)

http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/nvidia_geforce_6600_gt_agp_roundup/page20.asp

They liked it alright...

http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardware/Reviews/bfg6600gtocagp/

as did they...

http://techreport.com/reviews/2005q1/6600gt-agp-comparo/index.x?pg=10

and them...

But, yeah- it'd be nice to have the 1.6ns memory. I picked mine up because
it was one of the few 6600GT AGP cards on the shelf in December- and I liked
what I'd read compared to some of the other brands I'd seen. The point with
the "OC" models isn't that they overclock any higher- it's that they're
still under warranty and get 24/7 tech support while they're overclocked.
I'd personally say $25 difference would be a better price than $50- but at
the time I had a few extra bucks burnin' a hole in my pocket. I paid $250 in
mid-December and that was still a fairly good deal. Yeah, you can get much
cheaper 6600GT cards now that they've been out a while... but mine has been
working just fine for over 3 months and I didn't have to wait.

the bfg6600gt oc is not over clocked because in some review web site
they did oc the bfg660gtoc from stock to some 30mgzgpu and 200mghz for
the mem so i would go for a bfg...
