Google for the words april fools midday, you'll find thousands of pages
explaining why the cutoff is midday.

Poor little naive Skybuck.

The noon cut-off is a UK thing. The rest of the world don't have that
limitation. In some countries, you also play jokes on both the first *and*
the last of April.

> Poor little naive Skybuck.

You're guilty of incorrectly applying your local rules to the whole world.
I'd say you're naive too.

I can not find a single page that explains it ;)

It's well known in the UK that April fool jokes have to be instigated
before 12 noon, I've got no idea why. But I do know that the joke is
supposed to be funny, so that's two rules you've ignored.

So you are unable to read all those bits even in the small amount of text
returned by Google for each result that says that after midday the joke is
on the attempted joker? Are you blind as well as stupid?

Let's take the top 6 results that are showing on my screen for those 3 words
searched for just 1 minute ago:

Do you have some that can deliver a mild electric shock to Skybuck at the

It only applies to April Fools. I guess you didn't read any of the

I wasn't the person who pointed it out in the first place. I merely pointed
Skybuck to where he could find the information he asked about.

My dig at Skybuck was due to his inability to find anything for himself, and
based on previous posts. I stupidly thought that after not seeing posts from
him for a while that maybe he'd finally grown up a bit, yet here he is
acting exactly as before. I'm resurrecting my killfile, obviously it's no
point even clearly pointing him to where he can find information, he just
ignores pretty much what everyone says anyway.

I've known about it since I was a little kid and first introduced to April
fool 50 years ago. It was probably introduced to stop irritating little
brats playing the same moronic prank that wasn't funny or clever on the same
parent all day. So saying that, in the modern day of the Internet and
instant world wide communication it's before 12 noon somewhere in the world
for a good part of April 1st and April Fool jokes can pass back and fore
across several time zones over the Internet before they get to the receiver.

April fool pranks should be either funny or clever though otherwise they are
just boring.
