Hello,
A week or so ago I purchased a 17" Samsung SyncMaster 712N LCD monitor. Some
of the selling points were the picture, response time, 3 year warranty and
price ($429 CND). Please see specs here:

Yesterday I went to CostCo and found a cheaper ($400 CND) 19" ACER AL1913
LCD. Would I be correct in concluding that the biggest difference between
the two is the "response time" ? I mostly play the battlefield 1942 series
and found the gameplay on the 712N to be absolutely great, better than on my
CRT. So, my dilema is whether the performace and quality of the ACER will be
equal to the Samsung and if it would be smart for me to get a bigger picture
for less money. Based on the specs and the reliability of both companies,
should I stick to the smaller Samsung or should I get the ACER ? Here are
the specs:
http://www.acer.com.ph/al1913.htm
Also, is a 20-23 ms vs 12 ms response time that different as to warrant me
keeping the Samsung ?
Please advise.
Thank you!
Daniel
