Hello all,
I asked this question a few years ago but can't
remember the answer. I need to transfer all info
(Contacts, Memo's, App'ts, etc) from a Palm to an Ipaq. I
know there is an easy way to do this but I can't remember
(getting old) someone please help.
Thanks in advance,
Jim Conte

Hello Jim,

The best way to do it is to synch your Palm with Outlook (If you are using
Palm Desktop, you will then need to reinstall the Palm Software, but make
Outlook your
preferred PIM. Next synch your Palm with Outlook(The Chapura Pocket Mirror
http://www.chapura.com utility may be needed). All your files will transfer
over(double check your synch settings and make sure that the desktop isn't
set to over right the handheld). Next install your Pocket PC software and
Hotsynch all your Outlook data should now be on your PPC).

Uninstall your Palm Hotsync software, install Activesync, and sync your
Pocket PC with Outlook with the option of Overwriting your PPC. Then you
can adjust your synchronization option any way you want and everything
should be synched.

Also be sure to backup Outlook before and after each synch to be on the
safe side.
