The FX5500 OC seems to be an overclocked FX5500. Instead of
the standard 270Mhz core clock, it's raised to 290Mhz. I couldn't find
any info. on it's memory clock though. The FX5700LE has a core clock
of 250Mhz, and memory clock of 500Mhz.
Whether the FX5500 can beat out an FX5700LE is hard to say.
However, you can get a 128bit 6600 standard for $140.00, or a 6600GT
for $165.00 which will blow away either of those cards. If your
willing to pay $150.00 for an FX5700LE, I'd save $15.00 more, and get
a 6600GT. If your only willing to go only $130.00 for the FX5500 OC,
I'd go for either a $120.00 6200, and if it is one of the NV43 GPUs,
then you could unlock the 4 extra pipes to get a full 6600, or just
get a 128bit 6600 for $10.00 more.
