Help on how to unmute a Asus gaming computers bulit in mic

Hello, i have a problem with my mic bc i just got a Asus gaming computer yesterday and they told me it had a built in mic. Well i got home downloaded Ventrilo(a gaming cummunication application) tryed to talk to ppl and they couldnt hear me. So would this mean my mic is muted or not enabled? P.S...... When i que my mic like i did on last computer it makes a sound telling me to talk meaning i have a mic but nothing comes out.

Did you try asking the vendor?

Type "sound" on start menu.
Unmute the mic there-

or click on the sound icon in task bar even right click on it to get to advanced sound options..
