I have a Dell X5 and I am attempting to run Media player. The app
appears to try and start, but then the load aborts and I get nothing.
Is there a way to see what is causing the system to not run the app?
MP was running, but I think that I installed some software that has
caused an issue.

There are several reaons for this to happen... the first is your Media
Player is looking for the skin file which is no longer there... solution
here is to reinstall the skin file.
The second is sometimes caused by a missing gx.dll (this one usually happens
with PPC2000 but not PPC2002...
Or if you installed WindowsMedia Player update for 2002 and removed it... it
might have lost all associations to the correct files... Cleaning this up
isn't an easy task really but it can be done.

Hi,
Already answered in the post "pocket media player does not work anymore"
My only solution for me was Hard Reset and it works fine now.

A hard reset will always fix it... but it is not necessarily the only fix.
