How do I parachute out of an aircraft?

Just press {Enter} or whatever key you have mapped to enter/exit a vehicle -
on the PC. Same for PS2 etc, just use the joypad control associated with the
same function.

Of course, you need to have a parachute...

Will have a look at my key mappings - I had thought it was "enter" but it
did not work for me.

I had thought of the parachute!

Thanks.

At least for me, I had to deploy the parachute after exiting the plane.
I did this by pressing the same button as I would to fire a weapon
(with the parachute selected as the 'weapon'!)

You actually recieve a parachute when entering the aircraft.

You must have legitimately got a pilot license to access the airports
properly though. This isn't the same as having maxed out flying skill,
Just get all bronze at the pilot school.

When leaving the aircraft the parachute will automatically be selected
in your inventory. I'm not sure if you get to keep the parachute when
leaving the aircraft when it's still on the ground though.

Pack some heat, this mission is easy when the guards in the generator
room are alerted to your presence. The in-game map on the HUD will
start showing red dots and triangles it wouldn't normally show.

I can recommend the M4 (Long range) or Desert Eagle (Close range, one
shot kill). Half the time with stealth kills using that dirty butter
knife I pressed the wrong button. Instead of cutting the throat CJ
would take a swipe. The guards did not look amused.

I've managed to do this one using stealth. (Possible spoiler alert)...

Stay in the shadows to the right, past all the generators, taking out the
guards as you go. Go up and get the first upstairs guard, the one furthest
from your start point. Then backtrack and get the upstairs one closest to
your start point.

After that, you've just got the technicians. If you can take them out
stealthily, you get to finish the mission without stars, not that it matters
as you lose all stars on a successful mission completion anyway.

Therefore, you need a parachute if you steal an aircraft (e.g. before
getting out of Los Santos).

;-)

I think you get to keep the parachute when you leave an aircraft, but it's
only selected for you if you leave an airborne aircraft.
