Hi!

I am looking for a way to let my Windows XP Pro with GeForce FX 5500 run
with different drivers. My problem is that I want to run Medieval: Total
War which crashes in 99 out of 100 cases to desktop. The solution from
the Total War forum is to use an older NVIDIA driver (around 45 or so)
but I don't want to downgrade my whole system because I also run newer
games. I know that Win XP offers different hardware profiles but I never
used them so I wonder if I can have one profile with the latest driver
and one with an older driver.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

Cheers

Torsten

Why not set up a dual boot system with two versions of XP, one with newer
and one with older drivers.

May also be worth checking the game's website for any patches. I'm sure
someone mentioned this problem a couple of weeks ago, may be worth
searching for older threads (if they've not expired completely).

Yes. Two different hardware profiles would work.
