i’m planning an upgrade for my system soon.

currently, i have:
-AthlonXP 2000+
-2x256MB Corsair PC2700
-FX5200

i’m looking to get:
-Athlon64 3000+
-1GB Corsair PC3200
-Epox EP-9NPA+Ultra mobo

i’m not really a gamer (occasional Sims2) so i don’t need a high end
card. my new specs may even be slightly overkill, but i think it’ll
save me from an upgrade for a little while. what kind of vid card
should i get? i was thinking maybe a 6600. i know the gt version is
tons better but if i never put it to use i figure i’m just wasting
money. i’m also open to ati cards as well.

Get a 6600. Go for a PCI-e m,otherboard rather than AGP.

the Epox EP-9NPA+Ultra is a PCI-Express mobo. is there a particular
brand you might recommend for the 6600?
