Someone told me you could destroy 3 hydras before stealing one so that
there will be no dogfights at all .... is that true? So in total there
are 4 hydras there? How to find the 4th one then? I only see three.

It's supposed to be on deck, I think, but for some reason I can only
ever find the three. doesn't matter too much as you destroy two and
take the third near the bridges, the fourth crashes into a bridge or
something

As far as I could see, I destroyed two hydras under the deck, one was
on the elevator, one was in storage... I could see no hydras on the top
deck.
However one still spawned to pursue... this guy was hopeless though...
I don't think I even had to fly hard... I just flew NOE style and he
crashed or something.

There's always at least one Hydra that launches itself when you reach
the top deck. I replayed this mission many, many times and never
managed to shoot the bastard down, even with the heat-seeking rocket
launcher.
Another good piece of advice: use remote explosives grenades or the
rocket launcher to take out the SAM launchers. The first time I played
this mission I was left clueless as to where those red blips on my
HUD radar were coming from.

Last time I did it I couldn't even be bothered to destroy those two
planes, just hovered the hydra under the second bridge and boom, all
gone in seconds.

Heh, they don't even wait til 2 in the morning. Somewhere around this
time there's a guy on a very powerful bike who will go screaming
through the estate, despite numerous cameras nobody ever catches him.
My wife and grandson were almost creamed just after we moved here when
a stolen car took a corner too quickly and mounted the pavement. The
kid turned at the last second and rammed the back end of a bus.

What is this fascination with skidding around a playground in a car?
We get the odd tool doing that around here and this is a pretty quiet
estate.

They see the wideboys in movies doing it and they think it's cool.
Have you heard them just pulling out the drive in front of their own
houses? You would think it was the start of the monte carlo rally or
something. It's all about show and since they found you can do this
stuff in a tiny car that costs just a few quid then they'll do it all
the more. Tend to be little fiats and citroens and (shudder) vauxhall
corsas though some may advance as high as a mondeo.
We have a couple of locals with Evos and BMWs complete with the little
line of maufacturer's stickers down the front doors. They're living
some sort of dream.

I don't see how it's much different to me taking my 4x4 through some mud and
rocks for the day. If you believe the ramblers, I'm just as antisocial as
the boy racers by tearing up the countryside.
If it's not dangerous and not (really) harming anyone, it's not a problem.
Souping up a supermini and taking it on a track day or to a disused airfield
is fine by me - just because I don't understand it doesn't make it wrong. (I
used to live within 250 metres of a disused runway - whenever they did their
impromptu drag sessions I just went to the pub).
The ones who do it on estates in the wee small hours, or when there are
pedestrians about, should lose their licences. _Anyone_ driving without a
licence should be banned - For life - first offence. Second offence -
prison.

I agree that offroad, in the right places is where to have fun. Find
somewhere nobody cares about and have yourself a good time. There's a
thing up here where they're using the waterfront of the Tyne, not a
good idea! It's not a friendly river and cars and rivers don't mix

It's not a smokescreen, it's a valid complaint. The damage _has_ to be
caused, otherwise a lane will just become another part of the
field/undergrowth. My two-tonne car exerts the same amount of PSI on the
ground as I do, so as long as I drive it at a reasonable pace, and don't
spin the wheels, it's causing the same damage that I would.
Whether it's cars, bikes, people, horses or tractors, the damage caused by
transit is what keeps a lane, a lane. Next time you're driving down a
tree-lined "A" road - marvel at the neatly pruned, bus-shaped gaps in the
foliage and wonder whose job it is to cut them. Of course, nobody cuts
them - the tree doesn't grow into the gap because there's too much traffic.
It doesn't "know" that, naturally, it just gets any buds knocked off that
grow into that empty space.
On lanes, the worst damage is done by horses. I can drive across a dry or
mildly soggy field and you'd only know I'd done it until the grass
straightened. A horse would leave tracks that Steve Wonder could follow.
Even a sensibly driven dirt bike would leave knobbly tracks.
But as with football and religions, it just takes a few bad eggs to spoil
the reputation of the rest of us...
