Just bought Palit GF6600GT 128mb AGP and was wondering, are these temps
really high, I mean HIGH? 58 degrees idle and something like 65 load,
not even overclocked. And what's with the "core temperature
treshold"-setting, which shows 145 degrees and I can't even change it to
some smaller number? Using drivers v77.72.

Correction, "core slowdown treshold"...

My XpertVision 6600GT is running at 59C idle. If it only goes to 65 under
load I'll be very happy.

So is 145 degrees the temperature where core gets damaged? I installed
RivaTuner and monitored GPU temp during Aquamark and highest temp
reached was 80 degrees.

There's no possible way that your core will reach 145 degrees, unless your
fan is not spining, so in this time of year that temps are in normal range
!
