What Bluetooth phone has the best reception? It doesn't matter about
size or features. I just want a phone that will allow me to use
bluetooth to communicate with my Sony Clie. I live in a rural setting
and the reception is not the best, I am currently using a Sony T616.

Thanks,

Stacey

From my personal experience, you are already using it <wink>. I have yet to
test a v600 though.

Ouch. I also tried the V400. Reception was decent, but not as good as my
T616. My T616 is the only GSM phone I have seen that can acquire a signal at
my place at the lake. It may be different on 850MHz, but on 1900MHz, the
T616 definately has better RF. I also didn't like the menu setup on the
v400, but that of course is a matter of personal preference.

If the T616 is one of the best then I guess I need to switch providers, my
reception at my house is terrible.

Thanks for all of the replies!

Maybe that's the deal. I am in a 850Mhz area, central TX. Honestly, I
usually got a signal fine. However, I frequently had dropped calls (in
the middle of a conversation, seemed to be when switching towers), and I
had a hard time hearing on the thing. The volume didn't seem to go high
enough, and the shape of the phone made it awkward to hold to my ear. of
course, not being able to see the screen in this texas sun was a pain,
but I could have lived with that.

I'd be willing to say it was just the phone I had, but I went through 3
of them. I've had my v400 for a little more than a month and am much
more pleased. I can hear better on it and after learning the menu
system, could navigate without a problem in any light.
