Can anyone recommend some good quality retractable earphones for the iPaq
1940?

I've seen the "JAVOeBuds" at JavoEdge.com, but I'd prefer something in black
color, and possibly with a 2.5 mm connector.

TIA

http://secure.proporta.com/proport [...] t_mode=des
were the first I've seen, but I never tested them myself, and they're
in white not black. Guess they're targeting the iPod market. ;)
Seeing the price point, I have my doubts on sound quality though....
But retractable earphones are a cool solution. Any else something else
to offer?

Take a look at Cyberguys,
http://www.cyberguys.com/templates [...] 1=190+0505 they have a
couple of types. Search for 'retractable' to find a lot of stuff like this.
Not sure I can really recommend them. They sound fine, to me, but once you
have pulled them apart to reach both ears (assuming yours are on different
sides of your head) it doesn't reel in that well. Not sure if the Javo ones
are similar, and that isn't a problem common to the concept.

I dug around some more and found these by Macally:
http://www.macally.com/spec/specia [...] podio.html
(although I wasn't sure if the iPod audio jack is a standard 3.5mm jack?)

but the Ziplinq ones from Cyberguys are exactly what I was looking for,

thanks to all for the info
