New Security Updates screwed up McAfees

Hi

On 15th-December-2004 I updated Windows XP Professional, SP2 with 4 secuirty
updates. Since then the update procedure (via Internet Explorer) of McAfees
VirusScan 8.0 gets so far but the windows it opens remain blank.

McAfees:
Version 8.0, Build 8.0.41, Engine Version: 4.3.20

I notice also that in the bottom right corner of IE is "Unknown Zone".

Anything I can do to put it right?

Seems to be okay after a reboot. Mystifying.
