I am unable to fully configure auditing of files on my
Windows XP machine. I have enabled "Audit object access"
within the Local Security Policy but when I perform
a "properties" of files and directories within Explorer,
I don't see the Security tab where the the "Auditing"
configuration is supposed to be (from Microsoft article
id=310399, July 2004). Auditing of registry is working.

Thanks, Warren

I have a similar problem
All files in my computer seem to have read only permission. I am unchecking
the read only property in general tab in Properties of Folder pressing Apply
or Ok button but after I again attempt to see the Folder Properties but
again it seem to have read only property. Changes never be applied.

I need write access property when connecting an access database but because
of this problem it is not permitted
