Hi!

I would to o/c my 9800pro ATI card, but do not want to scrap it... As of
yet, I raised core and memory up to 20Mhz, but was too scared to go further.

As anyone has suggestion how fare I could go without having problems?

Many thanks!

I ran mine at 432/712 to benchmark it, I usally just run at stock settings
since it is plenty fast.
Download a program called ATI Tool from majorgeeks.com and it will set up
the optimum overclock settings for you.

412/665 MHz should be good and quite safe. These are R9800 XT clocks. :D

make sure you have above average cooling solution before commencing
with an OC.

cimetière left a note on my windscreen which said:

This is from memory so I may be a little out - With the help of ATI Tool
(google for it) I was able to increase my Hercules 9800 Pro (not a
standard cooling system on this card) to 450/350 (700).

I have since set it back to standard settings. The performance gain
(unless you're into counting 3DMark numbers) didn't realy seem worth it.
