I purchased a 9700 Pro from an Ebay seller who did not send the power cable
with the card. Can I connect the video card to a spare floppy drive power
connector? Will that connector deliver the correct power requirement to the
card? Thank you for info.

I did not get a "power cable" with my retail 9700 Pro (I will assume you
mean an adapter arrangement, converting the floppy connector to a HD one
possibly?).

You are supposed to use the floppy drive style connector.
