HDD shows up in computer management, but not libraries.

I converted my secondary hdd from a dynamic disk to a basic disk by deleting all of the volumes on it. I plan to use it to back up files, and windows recommended doing this. I can see the hdd in the Computer Management console, but not in the libraries, and, subsequently, I can not use it as a backup drive yet. Any suggestions.

  1. Have you formatted the secondary HDD yet?
    Can you create a new folder on the secondary HDD?

    Right click on a new folder and choose 'Include in Library' and then choose the Library you want.
    If you want a new Library open the Library list (type library in the Start menu search bar), right click and choose New and then Library.
