I allowed Windows to install the Malicious Software Removal Tool (KB890830)
on my computer this past weekend and now my Norton antiviruse 2004 does not
auto-protect when I boot. Even though I set my Norton software to start
auto-protect when Windows starts up, the auto-protect must be manually
started, and I have to re-set the Norton settings each time I boot. 1. How
do I back out the Microsoft virus protection download? 2. Can I just turn
off the new Microsoft beta protection? Can I exercise any control in the
Windows Security Center? Is anyone else having the problem with the Windows
beta product?
