172.16.10.0 is a private/non-routable IP range - designed for LANs. So you
have something between your client & the Internet router/modem you use that
is doing NAT - this is not a bad thing at all.
Where do you see the 202 address? That's a public/routable IP address on the
Internet - is it the public address your Internet modem/router is using? On
your PC, if you type
ipconfig /all
in a command prompt, what do you see as your IP address, and what do you see
as the DHCP server (presuming you're using DHCP)? And if you go to
www.whatismyip.com, do you see the 202....address there?
Who set up your network? What exactly makes you think your PC has been
hacked/compromised? Please repost with a lot more detail - I'm really not
sure what the issue/question is.
Sorry, no email replies - ask in a group, read the answer in the group so
everyone can benefit.
Also note - posting your valid e-mail address in a newsgroup post, or in
your news account settings, is a surefire way to get spam and SWEN and other
viruses sent to you....see
http://www.mailmsg.com/SPAM_munging.htm for help
in the future, but note that now that your address is out there, it's out
there...
