microsoft antispyware (beta) not recommended

I installed this program on my Win XP-home computer, and had to do a
system restore afterward. The program screwed up a lot of things,
including my network connection parameters. I'll stick with Adaware,
which I have been using for several years, and have never had a problem
with.

First you should remember it is a Beta and treat it accordingly.
NEVER install a Beta unless you are not prepared for a complete reinstall or
whatever may be necessary because of the Beta.
This applies to anything Beta not just Microsoft Beta.
Second, if you had problems with Microsoft AntiSpyware, a post to the
correct newsgroup may have yielded a quick fix:
