Folder password over network

Pls. help me how to give a password in a folder in shared documents so that
others cannot view the folder.

besides the fact that you cannot give a password to a folder in XP, you
need to talk with the person who put that folder into "\All Users\Shared
Documents" for everybody to see. maybe it was put there for a reason.

Unlike Win9x OSs, NT OSs (NT 4.0, 2k, XP, 2k3) use a far "superior" method
of providing access to files and/or folders - it is called permissions and
provided the correct permissions are setup on the file and/or folder in
question for the user(s) accessing them should have no problems at all.
Granted "permissions" are a hassle to set under XP Home, as you must be in
"safe" mode to do this, but XP Pro you just need to turn off "Use Simple
File Sharing".
