Dual boot XP

Hello all, I didn't know where to put this, so sorry if it's the wrong one.
I recently got a full new system with pre-installed Windows7. I put in my old HDD which had XP on it. The HDD works fine when accessing it from Windows7.
I want to boot to XP, my BIOS doesn't show that the old HDD is in the system & I can prioritize it. When I try to boot like this it gets to the first initializing XP screen it cuts off & restarts.
MSDOS only shows Windows7.
Can I do anything?

Hi.

You old XP OS was installed in another rig with different specifications, that means that has different drivers and components.

If you want dual boot XP-7 you need install XP again.
