Do you get a blue screen with white writing? If so, post the number of
the Stop Error. You may have your computer set to automatically restart
on errors. Change this so you can get the Stop Error:

Control Panel>System>Advanced>Startup and Recovery>Settings and under
System Failure uncheck "Automatically Restart".

If you don't get a Stop Error and/or the symptoms are different than
above, post back with a better description of the problem, your
computer, what changed between the time things worked, etc. Here are
links to help you make a good newsgroup post. You may want to read them
first:

Infection by the vicious Sasser worm is a possible diagnosis.

See
http://www.microsoft.com/security/incident/sasser.mspx

and let us know if this helps. Thanks!
