Hmm I can only think of 1 idea, and that is for you to buy a new card unless
someone knows how to get a new bios in wityhout starting the card.

:(

Yep. Get an X800 XT, then you won't have to try a BIOS flash.

You're probably screwed. ...maybe try borrowing a PCI card (remove the
9800 AGP card), set your mobo BIOS to init PCI first, ahead of AGP, have
both cards in the motherboard and boot with your flash disk, *hope* you
see a POST screen, and try to flash back to what it was before.

Did you actually know what you were doing when you flashed the card, did
you back-up the previous BIOS? Before you go messing around with
modding BIOSes and such, you should be pentuply sure that you've got all
the right stuff. Even then you can end up hosed.

Just get any card, boot to DOS and prepare the flash process using original
BIOS. Write the command lines ( flashrom.exe -f -p 0 filename.bin). Before
pressing ENTER, remove the other card and place the R360 in place. Press
ENTER and it should flash it back.

Anyway, it worked for me.

Have you tried flashing back to the original bios?

Do you have a backup of the original bios?

If not try here. http://softmod.ocfaq.com/bios.php

Make sure you have the correct details of your card.

I softmodded my x800 pro to a xt to get the 16 pipelines and failed due to
needing a VIVO card but re-flashed back to the pro bios with no problems.

Hope this helps
Need any help just ask

OK here's what I did exactly.

After I installed the wrong BIOS, I couldn't boot with my card.

I booted my PC with onboard video. After booting to DOS, while the computer
was working, I put the Radeon card into AGP slot and flash the old BIOS.

You should be able to do this with another PCI or AGP card.

(like a motherboard hot-swap BIOS trick).

Follow the Inglo post except don't remove your AGP card.
You need PCI card (or ISA :) ) in BIOS set that first video device is in PCI
slot
and now you should be able to flash your AGP card again,
because your PC after reboot should use PCI video card and have access
to AGP card too.

BTW who advice is to change video card when computer is turn on ?
dimar@aei.ca ? He stated that it worked for him, but I would bet (99%)
it would kill your motherboard.

modding or overclocking is a risky business :-)

....and, as amply demonstrated by this thread, a rather stupid activity for
anyone who uses their own, rather than their parents' credit cards to
finanance their hobbies.:-P

Repeat after me, "Our card which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven...."
Er, you know the rest, I'm sure, so just continue without me.
