I am having extreme difficulty installing the ATI software -- either MMC
8.1 or 8.9 or 9.x -- in a system with Windows 98SE and an AIW Radeon 8500DV.
The driver and DAO installs ok, but when installing MMC, I get the
following error message:
Error 0x8002000B
Invalid Index
Installation Terminated
Anyone know what's causing this? If I install immediately after
installing Windows, it works, but if I've run "Windows Update" and
installed the critical updates, it fails as above. Looks like a
conflict between one of the Microsoft updates and the ATI software. Can
anyone confirm this, and is there a reasonable workaround?

Fairly sure it's the Media Player 9. I have had similar experience.
Reason(s) unknown. Previous edition of Media Player did not result in
the error(s).
