I had a AIW 128 pro and the TV audio outut was great. I upgraded to the AIW
9600 XT and the TV audio out put is very low. When using the TV on Demand
the Audio is normal but as soon as I turn TV on Demand off the volume goes
back to low output. I have adjusted all volume settings with no fix. I have
to turn the system volume all the way up to hear TV audio and then all other
sounds are way too loud.

Has anyone else experienced this or have a fix for it.

Thanks for any help

I just installed an AIW 9600 alongside my Audigy 2 soundcard and have
the same exact problem. I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling CD
version & new web drivers to no avail. Without TV On Demand on, I
have to turn everything way up to hear TV....& then when I exit
everything else is way too loud. I noticed some 2003 postings about
the issue and AGC "Automatic Gain Control" possibly causing the
problems....also, noted problems specifically with Audigy soundcards
because of mixer control. However, I've yet to find a workable
solution. Still hoping....

Just did a fresh install & didn't install Audigy 2 software....only
the driver. I no longer have the volume problem. So....it is the
Creative Mixer causing the problem as some have speculated. But now
my question is how to enable 6.1 speakers & EAX control without
loading entire Creative tool set.
